I have always been interested in a raw diet for my Labrador
Retriever, Hogan. I tried making my own and feeding the pre-made patties but
never had much success. Hogan was such a picky eater. I know, unheard of for
labs, but he gobbles up his Blue Ridge each and every time. I have been feeding
Blue Ridge Beef products almost exclusively over the past year. Hogan has never
looked better. His coat looks great, his energy level is up, even his breath is
better! I alternate between Raw Tripe, Beef and Bones , Turkey and Bones, and
his favorite, Natural Mix. I highly recommend this product. Even my kitty is now
eating Blue Ridge (Kitten Grind)!

I have been feeding Blue Ridge Beef to my Ragdolls since 2002. I first heard of
raw meat diet from other breeders, but also heard all the negative that people
wanted to say about it. I had a litter of kittens who lost their mother to
kidney failure when they were 6 weeks old and I was starting to loose them as
well. I drove to Bill Lea's place and picked up a case of meat. Not only did I
save these babies, but by the time they were 4 months old, they looked better
then my other kittens their own age. At that point I was sold on it. There is no
comparison to weaning your kittens to raw meat.
My husband and I are also K9 Police Officers. Our Police dogs were put on raw
meat as soon as we got them. We get comments after comments about the condition
of our dogs and their coat.
I highly recommend Blue Ridge Beef to anyone who wants to improve the condition
on their show cats or just want to have a healthier and happier pet.

I have been purchasing Blue Ridge Beef from Dean for over 7 years now. I have
been really impressed with this product and believe me, I have tried many
others. I have never had any problems with the raw meat being fed to my beloved
cats/kittens and now I buy the meat made for my dogs as well. Dean is kind
enough to meet me (to my convenience) and bring me my meat wherever and whenever
I need it and sometimes I might have fed down to one package and he still goes
out of his way to make sure I have not run completely out. I add my vitamins and
minerals to my raw meat along with other important ingredients needed for the
best health care of my cats and now dogs. I am a very satisfied customer of Blue

We have two Weimaraners and we have been using Blue Ridge Beef since we first
received our puppies. We started out using dry food and noticed how unhealthy
our dogs were. They slept all the time and were constantly going to the
bathroom. Dean talked to us about the nutrition of the dogs and talked us into a
trial. We followed through and ever since then we have kept our dogs on a raw
diet. Now that they are on a raw diet they are healthy, attentive, and alert.
They have an incredible amount of muscle mass and their sense of smell is
incredible! We strongly believe that this is because of all of the nutrition
that is in Blue Ridge Beef. When it is time to feed the dogs they know when it
is time to eat. The female jumps in circles and the male patiently waits. When
it is eating time you can't put it down fast enough and it is gone!!! We love
everything about Blue Ridge Beef. We can call in our order that morning and pick
it up that afternoon. We can always count on Dean for good advice on the dogs as
well if we think that there is something wrong. Blue Ridge Beef is extremely
knowledgeable about their product and about animals this means a lot to us! We

believe in the product because of the difference it has made in our dogs.

I’m a relatively new convert (2yrs) to raw feeding for my dogs, Australian
shepherds. My past three litters were weaned on the Blue Ridge Beef puppy mix
and tripe. I’m very happy with their growth and development. My adults are all

with wonderful results. We feel it gives our cats a competitive edge because it
adds weight without making the cats fat and flabby. It can be fed straight from
the thawed tube or some vitamins can be added for extra nutritional value,
either way the cats love it.

As Afghan Hound breeders for over 25 years, we believe that diet is critical to
overall health, appearance, performance, and particularly to reproductive health
in our dogs. A few years ago a breeder friend convinced me to switch to a raw
diet. She was adamant that it would reduce health issues requiring visits to the
vet, and would increase reproductive health, resulting in healthier pregnancies
and whelping, and larger healthier litters.
At first I was resistant because I thought it would be messy and would require
more preparation than feeding kibble, but she persisted and put me in touch with
Blue Ridge Beef, and I took the leap into the raw diet world! Yes, it does
require more preparation (although not much) but I enjoy the preparation time,
and the feeling I get from providing healthy food for my dogs... similar to the
feeling I get when I prepare a healthy meal for my family.
After switching to a raw diet I saw an immediate improvement in the health of my
dogs, and was surprised that the dogs no longer had health issues that required
visits to our vet. Before I started feeding raw it seems I saw my vet frequently
for various dog issues. After feeding raw for several months my vet actually
phoned me and asked if I had switched to another vet, because he never saw me
anymore. I told him the raw food I was feeding made my dogs healthier! Some of
the changes we experienced with our dogs are increased coat growth and improved
physical appearance...reduction in gastrointestinal problems.... larger litters,
and increased sperm count. I have a 9 year old bitch, with a valuable pedigree,
who delivered 10 puppies after switching to raw. Three of those puppies have
already finished their AKC Championships, and at least 2 more should finish this
year. All are still fed raw. That same bitch, as a three year old on kibble,
delivered a littler of only 3 puppies, so the raw meat works!
My results are consistent with the results I hear from other breeders and pet
owners who feed raw. It makes sense to me and makes me wonder why I ever fed
kibble. When in college I worked in a zoo, and the carnivores (cats and wolves)
were fed meats, eggs, and fish. No kibble. Why should we feed our carnivores any
differently?

I have fed a raw meat diet for 30 years, but Blue Ridge Beef is the best I have
ever used. It has always been consistently high quality. All my cats - from the
chunky Persians to the slender Siamese - are fed Blue Ridge Beef. Even now that
I am no longer actively breeding cats, I still feed it as I think it is a more
authentic feline diet. Kittens thrived on it. They walked from their mother's
milk to the meat dish, wading right into the food plate to get it. They didn't
even want the kitten grind, as they preferred to "kill" their own food. I think
Blue Ridge Beef is especially necessary for my show cats in order to create a
solid body with muscle tone, and contributes to my success in the show ring.
